It's a long story, but kinda similar to the story of this board. many moons ago, Ipecac recordings used to have a message board. Lots of people who were fans of bands that were on that label got to be friends with each other on Ipecac's board. Several of them started their own BBSs. Things got fragmented. Then Ipecac shut down their board. There wer a couple of thousand former Ipecac members with no place to go. As a service, the guy who runs Ipecac's website started a BBS on bunglefever, and the rest is history. There are still a lot of splinter boards with former Ipecac boardmembers, and they fight all the time. Sometimes it's entertaining, but mostly it's pathetic. BBS drama is worse than soap operas.
